I've taken up the challenge posted here to read 100 books in 2010.
I'm gonna try and finish the one I'm reading now - Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol - to wrap up my reading for 2009 and then start on the huge pile I have here for my 2010 reading!
If you love reading check it out.

December Daily Part Two
I had decided to do this in two posts so that the first post didn't get too cluttered.
This is my 2nd December page
3rd December - the day I found out about my Merit
Journalling about the icy day!
Talking about all my overtime at work
Talking about work and then seeing the Coca Cola advert for the first time!

December Daily Part One
I've had a catch up with my December Daily today and have the first six days of December complete. I've decided to do my book photoless. I'm working up until Christmas - I only have Christmas Day and Boxing Day off so I will have photos for those days but everything else is going to be pure journalling.
This is the cover of my book. My book has acrylic pages in it that seperate different sections. I haven't decided whether the inside ones will be decorated yet or not. I put a bronze peel off on the cover.
This is the first page. I haven't put anything on this one because I thought it was a nice patterned page to open up to the first page.
This is my first page. It has my take of the I Am poem from the Orange advert.
This is my I Am poem. I wrote the last line in silver underneath.
This is my December 1st. I have journalling on the outside and inside has a list of Christmas presents I needed to buy at that point.

Where is the time going?
It's November 11th already. I haven't even started making Christmas cards or thinking about Christmas presents and yet at work we have Christmas decorations up already!!!
I haven't done very much art stuff lately. I just haven't found the inspiration although I now have 3 photos that I will be scrapbooking from a photo session that my friend Kaylee and I had last week in Cardiff. They are the only pics of me that I like so I have them on the back of my bedroom door along with pictures of my nephews and pictures drawn by my nephews to inspire me!!!
I have a lot of stuff I want to get done today so I better go and get on with it!

10 things about me right now
Inspired by Ali Edwards (http://www.aliedwards.typepad.com/) 10 things capturing me right now I decided to think of 10 things about me right now...
1) I went back to college last Monday. I'm doing 3 classes this year - sociology, psychology and Government and politics. They all seem really interesting at the mo but we'll see how interesting they are when I have all the workload to deal with!
2) I've been driving for 3 months now and I've just bought myself a new car that I'm still getting used to. I'm enjoying the freedom of being able to go where I want when I want without relying on buses or anyone else to drive me about.
3) I've noticed that my nephews are growing up so quickly now. The youngest has started nursery now and when I saw him in his uniform he looked so smart. All three look ace in their uniform!
4) I'm currently making sure I find time to read. I neglected it recently for the likes of Facebook and Twitter but I've made sure I sit down and spend time just reading any book I can get my hands on!
5) I'm loving N Dubz - I Need You - I only heard it for the first time yesterday and have it in my head constantly!
6) My friend and I went to Cardiff the other week and the views there are amazing. We fell in love with it straight away! I had my camera but forgot to take any pics because we spent time shopping!
7) I'm trying not to buy so much stuff for scrapbooking. I want to make a dent in what I have. I'm trying to discover new ways to use things and new things to make!
8) I have a rather large pile of books that I need to get through and think I should maybe buy less!
9) My music tastes are changing - no so much because of whats in the chart but because of Big Weekend. I was never a fan of Tinchy Stryder or Scouting for Girls but now I fid that Tinchy Stryder is all thats in my cd player!
10) I'm becoming more vocal. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not but I used to hold back and keep it to myself if I didn't like something but now I'm finding I'll speak up - whether the person likes it or not!
I'm hoping to get some artwork done tomorrow. Ali Edwards (link above) has some good new techniques I wanna try out. Will post if they turn out ok!

Awards
So I've received two awards for my blog from my mum (http://doodlesdumpkins.blogspot.com)
The first one is the Honest Scrap Award and you have to list 10 honest things about you.
So 10 honest things about me are:
1. I hate clowns. If they're near a shop I want to go in I have to go elsewhere and wait for them to be gone or I just don't go in.
2. I'm a fan of Britney Spears.
3. I've always got a different hair colour - hair dye was a great invention!
4. I hate fish.
5. I could sit and read all day.
6. I love brocolli.
7. I taught myself HTML and can build a website from scratch but I'm not so good at CSS.
8. I'm addicted to Facebook.
9. I have a HUGE collection of bags and don't think that there is such thing as too many.
10. I went back to college in September to do an Access Course.
Now I have to list 7 fellow bloggers to receive this award. This will be difficult because I don't have very many bloggers that I follow so I'll try.
1. Sarah - http://are-you-flowin.blogspot.com
2. Annette - http://scraphappenshere.blogspot.com
3. Cal - http://hysteri-cal.blogspot.com
4. Karen - http://enolassneezes.vox.com
5. JaneH - http://happypapercrafter.blogspot.com
6. Dawn - http://scraphappens-dawn.blogspot.com
7. Joan - http://joanold-scrappinstuff.blogspot.com
I don't know how many of them will check this out to see that they've won an award but I've found my 7 people who's blogs I follow and visit most often.
The next award that I've won is the Your Blog is Fabulous award.
This again is from my mum (http://doodlesdumpkins.blogspot.com) - not sure how many more times I'm gonna link her blog here today lol.
The rules for this one is to link 5 things you're addicted to so here we go:
1. Bags
2. Chocolate
3. Facebook
4. Twitter
5. My Hidden Fantasy Perfume
And the five people I'm giving this award to are:
1. Sarah - http://are-you-flowin.blogspot.com

3. Cal - http://hysteri-cal.blogspot.com

Books
I've been working my way through the pile of books I have on my unread pile this year and have gradually been extending my Books I've Read in 2009 list on here. The only problem I've had is that a lot of new, great books have come out and I keep getting them to add to my pile that doesn't seem like its ever going to end!
I've just finished reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas which I bought after watching the film. I spent the afternoon reading it and got through eight chapters! I just couldn't put it down.
I'm not sure what to read next - Marley and Me (I've seen the film and bought the book), The Pact by Jodi Picoult or the wide selection of books I have by Phillipa Gregory.
What a decision!

Todays picture(s) are of some cards I made last night. I didn't really take my camera anywhere with me today so I decided to photograph these. The fairy card has 3 decoupage fairies - the first card of this type I've ever attempted.
