Pattern and Colour Class Image

This is my first image mood board that I digitally created for the first class. The rest will be added shortly.

The next class prompt will be posted next Wednesday. I'll be adding new mood board photos up until then.

Pattern and Colour Class

I hope this goes to plan. I've created a class based on pattern and colour as inspiration for pages.
I'd love to see what everyone has come up with. I'll post each prompt here - the first being posted today and my inspiration from those prompts will be posted as well.

Here is class lesson 1:

Patterns and Colour Workshop

Patterns and colour are around us everyday in every different object we see. By the time this course is finished you will have a book made up of patterned and coloured pages. You can use these prompts to create a scrapbook or a mini book of your choice.
I’ve created 5 prompts to give you inspiration for your first five pages. The sixth prompt is up to you whether you choose to go ahead with or not.

This is a short class and each prompt will be posted on my blog with the date that the next prompt will be posted on as well.
There is no time limit for this class – each prompt can take you as long as you want. I’d love to see what you come up with and I’ll be working with you along the way. Each prompt I give will also have my version with it as further inspiration for you.

Here is the first prompt:

Take photos of everything and anything in your house that contains colour and patterning. Try and use the most unusual objects in your home. These photos will be your inspiration for colour and pattern. It’s up to you how you want to display these photos. You could create a mood board or keep them loose. The following is a list of patterned objects. You can use these and add your own:
CDs
Wallpaper
Magazine Adverts
Perfume Bottles
Coke cans
Cross Stitch
Scrapbook papers
Clothing
Childrens Drawings
Curtains and Net Curtains
Wooden Flooring
Bathroom Tiles
Material

I've taken my photos and will be creating digital mood boards. These will be shared with you in a separate post.

Update

Wow I've neglected my blog lately. To be honest I haven't really been home or crafting so there hasn't been anything to put on here.

I plan on working on the latest CJ layout today because I haven't done that yet and I've got about 12 days before it has to be posted again so I better get my butt into gear and get sorted. I'm als going to be working on an album for my friend. She doesn't know about it yet and won't until its finished so I can't post anymore details about that here!

I want to try out making a star book because thats something I like the look of but have never made. I also want to make an exploding box! I don't know if you can tell but I'm trying to use up some stash!

I start college this year on my 22nd birthday. I'm going to be studying Business Studies in my first year and ICT as a support on the side. I'll then be studying ICT and Sociology in my second year.

Shimelle has a new class posted on her site. It looks good but unfortunately it's about £25 and I can't afford that because I want to start driving lessons again this month.

Tonight when I get home from work I'll be working on my CJ and then looking through my magazines for the exploding box intsructions. We'll see how I get on!

Sketch number 3

I tried to upload this the other day but Blogger wouldn't let me! I used flowers to symbolise embellishments but obviously they don't have to be flowers.
Enjoy!

Sketch number 2

Ok so this is 8x11.5 inches but obviously can be turned landscaped and worked that way. The circles stand for embellishments which is what they say in there but I don't think they show up!

Sketches I've created: Number 1

Ok so I thought I'd try my hand at creating some sketches and if people like them I'll create more and then either a seperate blog or freewebs site for them:

The first one is created as size 8x8 but can obviously be adapted to a bigger 12x12 size.

I've labeled the title but obviously you could have that as journalling and your title down the side and the 2 squares are for you to do as you please either paper with a photo on top or 2 photos layered or you could use the back box as your journalling.

Do as you please and don't forget to share your creations!

Here you go:

It's been a while

It's been such a long time since I came here - I can't remember the last time I blogged.

I haven't got any new photos of creations to share with you today partly because I haven't crafted for a while. I've put myself on a ban from buying new things because I do have a LOT of stuff that needs to be used first. I need to use more to create space first. I'm going to have a tidy up in a bit and craft and see what I can come up with. Hopefully then I'll have new stuff to post on here.

I went to see Indiana Jones today. It's the first of the films I've seen and its actually quite good so I might find the others and watch them...

I got the next Circle Journal through today in the May Be Babies CJ swap. I sent on the Seasons one yesterday and received What's precious to you... I need to get my thinking cap on because I want to try and do this without pictures because my family and friends are going to be the theme BUT there are so many of them that photos will take up the page. I have an idea in mind - it's just putting it into practice now!

My points for June on UKS are rubbish because I haven't actually done anything other than my last CJ entry!

There isn't much else to update on other than the fact that I'm going to tidy for a bit now and then scrap or crochet (I have a blanket to finish by July 17th!) and watch The Pursuit of Happyness.
